April Showers Blog Hop – Team L.I.

Today we are celebrating our first blog hop with Team L.I.  You will have the opportunity to hop from blog to blog and see dozens of beautiful projects and take part in a HUGE giveaway!  The prize is awesome!  If you’re coming in from Stamp-Patty’s http://www.stamppattys.com, you are in the right place!

This month’s theme is all about April’s Showers (although I have been getting snow and freezing rain!!! And you?) I’ve been all about the weddings lately and I wanted to showcase some easy DIY party favors great for bridal showers and weddings, but that can easily be suited for birthdays, and many more events.  You can purchase the kits online in my Etsy store at www.etsy.com/shops/krysthledesigns under the Paper Shop section.  Or contact me for a custom order.

Bridal shower party favors! So cute!

Here are some easy and inexpensive techniques to embellish your party favors:

-       Cut your cardstock to create pennants

-       Use small paper doilies (available at your dollar store), fold over the bag and staple with pennants underneath.

-       Use bakers twine and tie a bow to add an instant pop of color.

-       Alternatively, add a charm to a bow or a knot.

-       Use mini clothespins as decorative elements and to hold your paper and doilies together.

-       Add fun, colorful stickers for a final touch.

I’ve included some close-ups so that you can get a better look at the different ideas mentioned above.

Another party favor option is to embellish small boxes with twine, charms and fabric flowers such as these.
